The Tiger Quoll (Dasyurus maculatus) is an Australian endangered species of marsupial found in Australia. The Tiger Quol is also an important part of Aboriginal folklore.

The Wiradjuri people of Central New South Wales believe that the Tiger Quoll is associated with the creation of the stars and the night sky. The quoll's distinctive spots are said to represent the stars and the quoll is believed to have created the constellations.

Any known symbols of protection play an important role in Dharshi’s art. The quoll's fierce and powerful nature is seen as a symbol of strength and protection in aboriginal culture.

Colour being an important element in art, you may be interested to know that In some Aboriginal stories, the Tiger Quoll is associated with the Rainbow Serpent, a powerful ancestral being, and is said to have helped create the colors of the rainbow.

This artwork is one of many when Dharshi achieved the impossible: two 30-day art challenges in one year! She created 60+ artworks, including 30 endangered species. The watercolor painting of a unique Tiger Quoll, which is endangered in Australia, measures 160x190 and was painted on high-quality watercolor paper. It's custom-mounted and fits an IKEA frame 320x320.
